Designers Saturday is the only national exhibition event in Norway, dedicated to furniture, textiles, lighting, flooring and other interior and design related products aimed at both industry professionals and the wider design aware public. A free bus service is available to attendees; simply jump on and off the bus where your want. Saturday is allocated to the professional audience, whilst Sunday also is open to the general public. 180 cutting edge Norwegian, Scandinavian and international exhibitors display their latest offerings, some having never been displayed in Norway before. Designers Saturday is not a run-of-the-mill event hosted in some national exhibition centre, rather it is an important arena for professional practitioners wishing to keep updated and informed on the latest trends, developments and products. Furniture intended for public spaces is increasingly used in private homes, which is why the general public has been invited to partake in Designers Saturday over the last few years, we even gave the event its own label: Public Sunday

Designers Saturday Awards
The board of Designers Saturdays and the Norwegian Organisation of Interior Architects and Furniture Designers instigated Designers Saturday Awards in 2005. The awards serve to heighten interest in interior architecture and give students and experienced professionals’ alike, recognition of design excellence and quality.

Best Interior
Design competition; interior decorations of public space. A jury of experts chooses between the works of interior designers who are members of the Norwegian Interior Architects and Furniture Designers’ Association. The work must have been completed in the last two years and published in the associations’ yearbook.

Student Project
Through this competition, Designers Saturday hope to give emerging designers a chance to show their talents to potential employers in the industry, to the trade press and the general public. Designers Saturday aims to foster creative and new ideas, which will hopefully result in collaboration between designers and manufacturers.
