FjordMoods was founded by ecological designer Pieter Van Tulder, who has worked exclusively with reclaimed wood since 2010.

From its base in Hardanger, FjordMoods has developed 2050 Furniture, an innovative production model that transforms wood from local waste streams into furniture on a larger scale.
2050 Furniture is a collaboration between local actors. The wood is upcycled into intermediate parts for furniture in a supported employment facility, and a modern furniture factory shapes the finished pieces.

The first production hub in Hardanger produces the award-winning Sondre chair.
Sondre is the result of inclusive design, innovation, and genuine care for the environment.
