Myrens Verksted becomes this year’s DS Hub
Myrens Verksted, a historic site for design and innovation along the Akerselva river in Oslo, will become the new DS Hub during this year’s Designers’ Saturday.
The historic industrial area, once known as a hub for mechanical industry and production in the 19th and 20th centuries, has today been transformed into a modern environment for business, technology, creativity, and culture.
The official opening of Designers’ Saturday will take place at Myrens Verksted on Friday, 12 September at 9AM.
The old factory buildings house three large halls that are used daily for film production. For this year’s Designers’ Saturday, designers Kristine Bjaadal and Bjørn van den Berg have been commissioned to transform these halls into engaging and inspiring exhibitions:
Hall 1: 7 exhibitors
Hall 2: DS Collab, DS Unika, Best Talents and Best Interior
Hall 3: 13 exhibitors
In addition, both Next Level and Michelsen Interiør have permanent showrooms in MYYR Studio and will present several major brands in their exhibitions during Designers’ Saturday.
A complete overview of all exhibitors in the film halls can be found here, and exhibitors in MYYR Studio can be found here.
