New board for Designers’ Saturday

DS Board 2026

Designers’ Saturday celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026 and enters the year with a new board.

«Designers’ Saturday is run by the industry itself, through engagement and collaboration. In the years ahead, it will be important to further develop the event in a way that both preserves this sense of community, opens up for new voices, and provides clear direction. The board will contribute to this work, in close collaboration with the organization and the communities surrounding DS.»
Marianne Otterdahl Møller, Chair of the Board of Designers’ Saturday

The board will play an important role in bringing the industry together, further developing the format, and laying the foundation for the next Designers’ Saturday in 2027.

The new board consists of experienced professionals with broad expertise across interior design and architecture, furniture and product design, manufacturing, retail, communication, education, and brand building. Together, the board represents both continuity and renewal, and will help strengthen Designers’ Saturday as a relevant, industry-driven, and unifying meeting place for Norwegian and international design.

The board is responsible for the overall strategic direction, as well as the planning and execution of Designers’ Saturday 2027, which will take place in Oslo.

«2026 marks 40 years of Designers’ Saturday and will be a year of reflection, celebration, and professional deepening. At the same time, it is an important year of work. With a new and engaged board in place, we have an excellent starting point for developing Designers’ Saturday towards 2027, both in terms of concept, collaboration, and international relevance.»
