The link between Scandinavian and Italian design was established in the 1950s.
Maddalena De Padova began the business activities by importing Scandinavian furniture and objects. Under the trademark "Edizioni De Padova", later "è De Padova" she launches her own collection of furniture, and the store in Corso Venezia in Milan is like an eye, open to distant worlds.
In the 80's through the collaboration of Achille Castiglioni, Dieter Rams and above all Vico Magistretti, De Padova becomes famous for its modern yet timeless style.
Today De Padova is part of the Boffi | De Padova Group.
