ygg&lyng is a Norwegian furniture brand established in 2009, with a strong connection to wild Norwegian nature, functional design and traditional craftsmanship. Rooted in Nordic heritage and Scandinavian modernism, the collection is characterised by honest materials, refined forms and an emphasis on longevity. History, tradition and culture meet contemporary influences, creating a distinctive expression with depth and character. Elements of heritage are reflected in a contemporary expression, giving the collection a playful yet down-to-earth character. In close collaboration with designers, makers and manufacturers, ygg&lyng develops furniture and objects with an emphasis on thoughtful construction, quality and materials that age well over time.
With possibilities for personal adaptation, the collection is made for everyday life — for gathering, connecting and sharing time.
About Nanna Wensaas
Nanna Wensaas (b. 1996) is an industrial designer and artist based in Bergen, Norway. She holds a master’s degree in industrial design from NTNU, Trondheim (2023), and has worked with designers around the world, including Jonas Stokke in Oslo, Leon Ransmeier in New York, and Wataru Kumano in Miyota, Japan.
She currently runs her own design practice while pursuing a master’s degree in Fine Art at the Art Academy in Bergen. Her work explores form, colour, and materiality across different mediums, moving between practical objects and more expressive, intuitive work.
