Poppy Lawman
Poppy Lawman Studio, based in Oslo, Norway, focuses on circular design approaches and emotional design methodologies to create slow objects and designs meant to inspire a more connected and holistic approach to wellbeing that considered both people and planet.
The studio creates collectible design with the intention to inspire future production possibilities and thinking surrounding research and material explorations into: biomaterials, local material value chains, waste resources, biodegradable alternatives for preservation and adhesives, mono-material design and/or design for disassembly.
The practice focuses on emotional design methodologies and approaches for product longevity and building positive emotional attachment for consumers from exploring: consumer identity and product attachment theories, enhancing pleasurable experiences, sensations, and actions, reflective design, and transparent process.
