Today’s Asak Miljøstein is a modern company. Through collaboration with skilled partners such as Snøhetta, Koi Color Studio, SINTEF, NTNU, and other professional institutions, the company has developed innovative products and concepts that embrace good design and environmental considerations.

Asak FLYT is an example of successful innovation. This permeable slab concept can replace sealed surfaces in urban and densely populated areas, thereby helping to prevent flooding. Asak FLYT was designed by Snøhetta and has received significant international attention. The concept has been awarded design prizes and nominations from Fast Company in New York, Dezeen in London, and has received the DOGA-mark in Norway.

Asak Miljøstein has worked intensively on environmental and sustainability developments for many years. Parts of the product range are now produced using recycled aggregates, and the company has also conducted pilot projects using alternative binders to cement.

All five factories are certified according to ISO 14001, and Asak Miljøstein is proud to be the first industrial company to be awarded the "Made in Norway" label by Innovation Norway.
